SafeStop is crafted to counteract the accumulation of lint in the dryer vent hose. Typically, standard dryers are positioned flush against the wall, causing the dryer vent hose to crimp and diminishing the dryer's efficiency. This situation poses a risk to the dryer's electrical components and, in severe cases, may even result in house fires. SafeStop addresses this concern by preventing the dryer from being pushed against the vent hose, thereby averting premature burnout of electronic components and heating elements.

 

To achieve this, SafeStop maintains a six-inch gap between the back of the dryer and the wall, safeguarding the dryer hose and electronic components from damage. Installation is a straightforward process, offering two methods. The first involves using 1⁄4 inch holes on the device's base, securing it with wood or concrete screws to the wall studs, positioned approximately 36 inches from the floor. The second method entails turning the device around and attaching it to the back of the dryer using pre-attached magnets. Both methods require two SafeStop devices to be installed halfway up the wall or back of the dryer, ensuring balanced positioning.

 

These installation options were meticulously designed to cater to both industries and everyday homeowners, providing accessible solutions. SafeStop enhances appliance efficiency and mitigates the risk of electrical and heating issues. It is crucial to note, however, that while SafeStop offers significant protection, it does not replace the need for routine preventative maintenance on the appliance.
